Stratus 3.9: enable email notifications for events

This instruction is explaining how to configure the functionality of STRATUS sending emails with a digest of events over email

General configuration outline:

  1. Configure SNMP email gateway parameters into STRATUS in Admin GUI.
    [optional] enable “Enable event details” if preview snapshots are needed
  2. Configure STRATUS permissions to enable “email on event” for the Sets insider the Role[s] where email generation is required
  3. For the Users who needs to receive emails, configure email address and email sending intervals

Step-by-step guide

1. Login to the STRATUS as an administrative user, go to Admin GUI.

2. Go to Settings -> Customize System -> Email Configuration:



3. Configure SNMP server and relevant authentication parameters, “Send from”, “Run status”.

If you need email to contain preview snapshots, make sure to set last 2 parameters accordingly.
Note: you do not need “Send to” email for this functionality, it is for system status notifications.

The sample of SNMP settings:


4. Go to Settings -> Credentials -> Role Manager

Select the intended Role, enable “email on event” for the Set[s] where email generation is needed.


5.  Go to Settings -> Credentials -> User Manager:

Here you would need provide an email address and interval for the user to receive notifications.


This is it: functionality is configured and is ready to receive notifications.
